ABOUT RYAN

I've been participating in athletics for most of my life. Growing up in the US, France and East Africa, soccer quickly became the game for me. Over the years it has been my ticket to see the world and the root of many great friendships. It aided me in achieving my college education and was instrumental in developing skills that are paramount within the framework of a team. After university I was able to play professionally. And that was a lot of fun. Shortly after my playing days it was a natural progression for me to move into the strength training profession. Given soccer’s base in physical movement and coupled with my education I was able to begin training clients out of a local training gym. It's a good thing too because soccer players made peanuts back then! Needless to say, my ability to compete at a high level in soccer eventually diminished but my love for training and my relationships with my clients did not. Working alongside so many great people, all with different skill sets and limitations, but the same in their honest and consistent pursuit of improvement was incredibly humbling and rewarding for me. This was clearly the profession for me.

But I was still an athlete at heart and wanted to maximize my own training as well. As my pursuit of different sports continued to evolve my modes of training did as well. As a result, I stumbled upon Dave and Nancy’s gem, Level 4 CrossFit, back in October of 2007. I loved the community aspect of the gym and the engaging and challenging training sessions. Level 4 possesses an atmosphere of healthy accountability and a camaraderie that I found so valuable to my training. It is an incredible learning environment and one where, given time and dedication, the sky truly is the limit.

Travel and the arrival of my kids have kept me in and out of the space in recent years but it always has been the place I enjoyed coming back to and being a part of. When an opportunity to work at Level 4 presented itself I jumped in with both feet. I am honored to further my training career at Level 4 and be a part of the history, culture, and drive that defines one of the greatest learning environs anywhere.
